Payroll & business compliance
Paying people is only half of payroll. The other half is the filings that go with it. JBK Tax runs payroll for small businesses and handles the required reporting with the agencies Texas businesses answer to.
Depending on the business, that can include federal payroll filings with the IRS, state unemployment reporting with the Texas Workforce Commission, and sales or franchise tax reports with the Texas Comptroller. We tell you which ones apply to you and keep track of the deadlines.
Whether you have one employee or a full crew, tell us how often you pay and how many people are on payroll, and we will set it up around your business.
What helps us start
If you are switching from another payroll provider, bring your most recent reports.
- Your EIN letter.
- Your Texas Workforce Commission account number, if you have one.
- A list of employees with pay rates and pay schedule.
- Each employee’s W-4 and I-9.
- Recent payroll reports, if you already run payroll.
- Any notice from the IRS, the Texas Workforce Commission, or the Texas Comptroller.
Behind on filings?
If you received a notice or missed a quarter, call and tell us which agency sent it. Bring the letter, and we will tell you what can be filed to catch up.
